Today it is the company Castel d'Alfiolo srl that takes care of this very large estate consisting of the Abbey, several farmhouses, a lake of almost 4 hectares and the land, about 630 hectares, divided between arable land, pasture, forest, vineyard and olive grove.The farm is certified "SQNPI" Sistema Qualità Nazionale Produzione Integrata.

 

BREEDING

Breed: PGI registered Chianina cattle / donkeys

Type of farming: semi-wild with about 120 Ha of available pastureland

Barn: loose housing with outdoor paddocks 

under construction: free-range pig farm

ARABLE LAND

Extension: about 200 Ha

Crop type: soft and hard wheat, sunflower, sorghum, barley, forage, chickpeas and lentils

VINEYARD

Extension: about 6 Ha (of which 4.5 Ha historical vineyard and 1.5 Ha planted in 2010).

Under construction: additional 4 Ha of vineyard
